Feasibility to redevelop the former NCP site in York City Centre to create a 270 bed student scheme and 25,000 sqft of retail space to the ground floor.

The project would replace the existing multi storey car park on site and create a new build infill block with potential for roof terraces and communal amenities. The design draws on historic urban grain to reinstate the rhythm and plot widths along George Hudson Street, and provide a podium garden, creating an external amenity area for the occupiers.

Through sensitive massing and detailing, the scheme would respond to and enhance the York Conservation Area while providing much needed student housing to the city centre.
